Hello.Welcome to my blog for 2019.this year I am in room 13 with Miss fisher I am a year 4.

Persuasive Writing

Using money

Reflection:   I am learning to add up cents and to do change. When i started it looked like it was really easy but when i read it was a tricky one for me.

Meaning of tricky words

Reflection:it was a bit hard to see the meaning.it was really fun because i love leaning tricky new words.  It would be good for me to learn new words.

Wearable Arts

This year we created headbands, pois and a class piuiu (Maori skirt) for our Wearable Arts.  We combined Maori and Pacific cultures to send a message about "How Far Will You Go.... to save the oceans from plastic."  We used a Maori Version of the song from Moana.  

Describing a Character

This term I have been learning to describe a character:
Success Criteria:

use describing words
use language features e.g. similes and alliteration,
use my senses (see, hear, feel,)
hook the reader into feeling what the character was like



Once there was a girl called Red Riding Hood.  She had sparkly blue eyes.  She had a  lovely red coat with a shiny 
hood and and black tights.  She has white and pink, light hair with two plaits.  She lives in a really, friendly village.  
Her skin was white as snow with freckles.  She wears black shoes.  

Reflection:  This writing was a good learning for me and for my brain to get more ideas  about writing. It was easy to get lots of describing words  because i imagine it in my head and because  little Red Riding is my favourite fairy tale.but it was a really fun writing task.

Making music

In term 2 and 3 we have been learning to make music with boom whackers.It was so much fun!
